Psalms 100:3, “Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.”
God is so good. His goodness goes beyond comprehension. We are also created by God in His image. We need to acknowledge that God is over all and is the author of time itself. We are God’s. He is good. All day, every day.
Know that the Lord. We are to know the Lord. To know someone is to learn about them. It is like getting a degree from a college or university. It requires studying, note taking, talking and especially work. To get a “degree” in God, we need to pray. We need to study the Bible. We need to communicate at all times with God. He is our Father, not only in Heaven, but He does not stay in Heaven. He is also with us in Spirit form.
He is God. God is God in three forms: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Spirit (Holy Spirit). All parts are all God God is in three parts to work in His will. Jesus came to Earth to save us from sin. The Holy Spirit came after Jesus left to be with us and help us. God the Father is always there, waiting for us to come live with Him after our physical death.
It is He who has made us. God made us. God made man and woman. He made us uniquely and wonderfully. We are truly his greatest creation, capable of so much and yet in need of salvation. We need God for all that we are. We need God to live, both in the physical world and in the spiritual world.
Not we ourselves. We did not make ourselves. We need to keep this in mind: God made everything out of nothing. We cannot make anything from nothing. We can do so much and yet we are flawed. We are weak in the presence in the Almighty God. He is over all and in all. He is above all.
We are His people. God created us with a “stamp” on us. Being in His image, we are His. We are made by God and for God. We owe it to God to praise him and worship Him for all that He has done for us. So many people want to blame God because life is hard. Because bad things happen. Because people die. Truth is, we live in a fallen world. This is not what God has in mind for us. He wants us to come to Him and be with Him in the new Heaven and Earth to come.
The sheep of His pasture. We are His sheep. He is the Shepherd that guides the sheep. He cares for us and protects us. This does not mean that harm will not befall us. It means that while we are going through life, God is there for us. We, as sheep, need help. We need to be watched at all times. We need daily food and water and shelter. This is what God provides for us. He is there and He cares.
As God’s people, let us be more thankful for what we have. As we continue to enter the Thanksgiving season, we need to learn this lesson. We are God’s. He is willing to give us what we need if we ask. Let us be thankful for having our needs met daily.
Thank You that You are our God and we are Your people. Help us to give You all the honor, praise and worship. You created us so beautifully. We are capable of so much. Help us to love You and to love others like You do. Help us to have eyes to see the world like You do. We should want to do what we can to help others and share. Let us be thankful for all that we have in You.
In Your name we pray,
