3 John 5-6, “Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers, who have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well.”
Care in the Church of its people and strangers outside the church. It is not only nice but required. The needs of the Church should be cared for. Those with much should share with those of little. As times of old, this is how the Church should be now. Caring for others, rather than lining pockets that don’t need it.
Seeing people without sickens me. In a nation such as the United States, there should not be anyone starving, homeless, or neglected. And yet, there is starvation, there is neglect, there is homelessness. With the money that is out there, people without should be people with. There should be care for all.
The Church should be there to care for itself but also the world. Just as Jesus came to this world to care for us and give us salvation, we should show Jesus’s love and care to others. As we help others, we are helping God. We are caring for His loved ones.
This also applies to the sending of missionaries to other places. They should not have to worry about bills or needs. The Church should be responsible for the care of missionaries everywhere. They need help. Financial as well as spiritual help for the Church.
Let us care for all. Let us give of our blessings to those without as much blessing. God is so good and wants us to be generous as He is generous. Be good as He is good. Take care that when we see people in need, we give. Help out. Let us end the atrocities that plague our nation and the world. Care for all.
Thank You that You bless us with more than we need. Help us to see all the needs that we can address. Help us to give what we can give. Help us to care for all those that are around. We receive so much from You. We love You and need You so much.
In Your name we pray,
