God Gives All That We Need

Psalms 145:16, “You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.”

Desires of the mind, of the body, of the soul.  God is there for all of creation to watch over and protect it.  He created it, after all.  He is not a distant observer, but an active member in the World.  God does not give us all we want but He does give us all we need.

God loves His creation.  All of His creation has needs that are to be attended to.  The plants need water to grow, animals need food to eat and water to drink, and people need food, water and clothing to wear.  God knows our needs; He created us.  He knows what is required for each and every organism to live.  We do not have to ask God for our basic needs.  He will provide them to us.  This does not mean that we cannot ask for needs that we have as God will listen to our thoughts and prayers.

God is always there to listen to us.  He is also there with open hands to offer us what we need.  If we need a warm embrace, He is there.  If we need someone to talk to, He is there.  If we are scared or lonely or in trouble, He is there.  God is always there for us no matter what.  He does not sleep.  He does not take vacations.  He does not ignore His creation.  We sleep, take vacations, and can ignore God, if but accidentally.  God is constant.  He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  It is us that change and fall away from God.

We are so apt to fall away from God.  The world is always trying to pull us away from what God has to offer.  God offers more than the world offers and yet, we still go for what the world wants.  What God offers is most likely in the future for us and the world seeks to give us instant gratification.  This is why the world is so tempting.  This is why the world attempts to satisfy our desires.

Though the world can seemingly satisfy us, it ends by leaving us empty.  We are left with a hole in our soul.  A hole that only God can fill.  God can fulfill our desires if we let Him.  It is not a question of “if” but a question of “when.”  When will we let God give us what we want and need?  When will we be patient enough to wait on God and His plan?  We do not get what we get based on our timeline but God’s  God is in control.

God takes care of His creation.  He knows our needs.  He knows our wants.  He knows our desires.  He knows all.  Let God meet your needs in His time.  Let God know your desires.  Will you get everything you want?  No.  God is God, not a magical genie.  He does not grant 3 wishes.  He does, however, listen and give us exactly what we need when we need it.  With God, we have all that we have.  At the end of the day, let us thank God for all that we have and all that we are.  We are what we are because of God.  We lack nothing.  We only need God.

Heavenly Father,

We need You.  Only You.  Everything else is second to You.  When the Earth fades away, we will be left with You.  You are there for us when others fail us.  You give us what we need when others will take what we have.  You love us when others fail the definition of love.  You are there.  You remain constant throughout all of time.  We thank You that You never will leave us or forsake us.  You are so amazing, God.  You are so wonderful.  We owe it all to You because all we have is Yours.  We don’t deserve You but yet, You give us all that we have and more.  We overflow with Your love, grace, mercy, and salvation.  We spill over like a cup overfilled.  We are full because of You.

It is in Your name we pray,
