Psalms 14:1-3, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’  They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.  The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.  They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.”

The question of whether there is a God or not is raised daily in many discussions worldwide.  There are sides that say there is no God.  There are sides that say there is absolutely one God, Creator of the world.  Regardless of the view, those who believe know the truth.  There is a God and he is real.

There is a reason that the 14th Psalm starts out with how foolish is the person who says that there is no God.  It is foolish to think that there is no God.  Who created the Heavens and Earth?  Who created animals and humans?  Who created everything?  God did.  Otherwise, how can it be explained that the universe exists.  An explosion?  Happenstance?  By guess and by gosh?  No.  The correct choice is God.

The Psalm goes on to say that the fool is corrupt and does horrible things.  This is not a surprising thought though.  People who are foolish tend to do horrible things.  This is not the end of that though because the chapter goes on to say that no one does good.  No one.  No one is perfect.  Not one, even the ones that believe there is a God, can’t avoid sin.

God is in Heaven.  Of those that believe there is a God, they also believe that He is in Heaven.  God looks down to see if anyone seeks Him.  God, knowing all things, already knows that no one is seeking Him.  No one is looking for Him.  Everyone attempts to go their own and seek their own path.

No one is good.  Good, in the sense, that we are not perfect.  We cannot go a day without sin.  We cannot be with God without a removal of our sins.  Enter Jesus.  Jesus comes in, is born of a woman, lived a human life, died a human death, and was raised from the dead and all of this is to take away the sin of the world.  All to make it possible for man and God to exist together again in the same place in the life to come.  All to have eternal life with the Creator of the world.  This is not possible apart from the love of Jesus and the love of God.

God created us.  The first man and woman turned their backs on God.  Every person since the first man and woman have turned their back on God.  How horrible does God have to feel about this?  Yet, God made the Way back to Him.  Back to how God intended us to be.  The Garden of Eden.  A perfect place.  A place that God intends us to be in.  This is the love of God.  This is the God of all.  Whether you believe in Him or not is a choice that can only be made by you.  I only wish that if you do not believe in God, you take the time to study the Bible.  See that God is real.  See that God is there.  He is there.  Always has been and always will be.

Heavenly Father,

You are real.  You are there.  There is no question with me that You are my God.  I pray that all those who believe in You continue to believe in You.  For those that do not believe, I pray that all come to know You, Lord.  You are the God of the universe.  You are the God that created all things.  Without You, we are nothing.  Without us, You would still be everything.  You don’t need us and yet You chose us to be with You in Heaven after we die if we choose to believe in You.  Help us to believe in You.

Amen
