Man + Sin = Separation from God

Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Enter man.  Man was created by God to be perfect and enjoy a perfect life.  Enter free will.  Free will led to sin and sin led to separation from God.  It is not a question of if man will sin, but when man will sin.  Man is sinful.  There is hope though.  The hope that we can have is not of ourselves.  This hope comes from the Son of Man and the Son of God, Jesus.

Enter Jesus.  Jesus died on the cross so that man and God the Father can once again be together.  With the blood of Jesus, man is cleansed of sin as if man had not sinned.  When the sin is removed, God and man can be close together again, just like in the Garden of Eden.  God cannot be where sin is.  Jesus acts as the go-between for man and God.

All have sinned.  Not some.  Not a few.  All.  Every man, woman and child on this Earth has sinned.  Jesus is the only man to walk the Earth without sin.  It is because of Jesus’ lack of sin that He could take on the world’s sin to spare humanity the punishment deserved.

Falling short of a goal is never what anyone wants to achieve, yet people fall short every day of what God has to offer.  Heaven is place where sin is not allowed.  This is why Jesus goes before us on our behalf to remove the sin so that we may go in.

Do you sin?  Absolutely.  Do you fall short?  Yes.  Is that the end of the story?  Absolutely not!  Jesus is our bridge to carry us from the side of sin to the side of perfection.  Jesus is the Savior of the world.  Jesus is always there.  Let Him have your heart and soul today so that you too may join God in Heaven above.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of salvation.  You did not leave us sinful and broken.  You gave us the answer on how to solve sin.  Sin is removed and Jesus is given.  I pray that all those who do not know you, come to know you.  I pray that they leave the sinful nature they have and choose to be made free from sin by Jesus.  You alone can free us from bondage and You alone are worthy of all praise and honor and glory forever.  Thank You, my Father in Heaven.  You are an awesome God.

In Your sin-freeing name we pray,

Amen
