Luke 1:37, “For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Impossible. Not possible. Such final words. Many things are impossible. Impossible places a limitation on what can be done. With man, impossible is possible. With God, impossible is not even probable. Impossible says no when the God of Heaven and Earth says yes.
There is one instance that is impossible for God: It is impossible for God to be imperfect. God is perfect all the time, without exception. God makes all things possible for those who follow Him.
God chose a young girl named Mary to be the mother of Jesus. Jesus was to be born of woman who had not been with a man. Some say this is impossible. With God, this is not impossible. With God, this is just another day of doing what God does. God cannot be limited like man is. Man, without God, cannot accomplish this. Only God can make this possible.
Put God in a box? Several try. Impossible is the box that people try to put God in. Tell God He can’t do something? Say that God isn’t who He says He is? People say that it is impossible for God to be the creator of the world. People say that it is impossible for God to be everywhere all the time. These are limitations that man puts on God. God does not follow the rules of man. Man must follow the rules that God put in place.
If God tells you to do something, do it. If God says that something is possible, it is. God shows time and time again that events are not impossible. People giving birth at old ages, people winning wars that should not be one, people doing incredible things that otherwise could not happen. It is all possible with God.
Is God asking you to do something today? Does it seem impossible for you to do? Ask for help from God. God is the plan-maker. God is the plan-fulfiller. God is a possible-maker. God is there for you when you are not even there for yourself. God is there to lift you up.
When the world says it is impossible, we know that You can make it possible. You would never ask us to do something that You would not feel that can be accomplished with Your help. Your plans are greater than our plans. Your ways go further than our minds can comprehend. Your will is supreme and divine. You are possible. You are real. We love You and thank You for all that You accomplish in our lives every day.
In Your impossible-busting name we pray,
