Plans…Mine or God’s?

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Plans.  So many people make them and some come to fruition.  Some don’t.  That is the mysterious thing about plans.  Plans can come and plans can go.  The plan that stays constant is God’s.

God’s plan does not change.  It is not affected by any outside sources.  It is not like the wind that blows here and there.  It is solid.

God is the creator of all.  Both Heaven and Earth were created by God.  They are His design.  They are His plan.  Nothing happens that is outside of God’s plan.  He knows all that has happened, all that is happening and all that will happen.

What are your plans?  Before making plans, prayer to God must be in order.  It is best to make sure what you have in mind agrees with God.  Before I plan anything, I pray.  I ask God if what I am doing is what He wants.  Sometimes He responds right away and sometimes He does not.  Waiting on God is the tough part.  Waiting to make a move.

God has a plan for each person that lives today.  Each plan falls in line with the big plan of God.  Each plan works together for God.  Even through free will, all plans are known by God.  There is no surprising God.  There is no shocking God.  God has seen it all.  God created us so He knows all about us.  Align your plans with God today.

Heavenly Father,

Your plans are far larger than mine.  Let me step out of the way.  Let us learn to let You be God.  Let Your plans be our plans.  I pray that You use us for Your will.  I also pray that You use all of Your people to further Your kingdom.  This world needs to know more about You.  Your plans may not always be known but You ought to be known by all.  I pray that You use us for Your honor and Your glory and Your will.  You are our God and we are Your people.

In Your name we pray,

Amen
