Kindness of a Savior…

Ephesians 4:31-32, “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.  And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

There are two lists above of how someone can live their life.  Two ways that man can exist in this world.  One can live their life with hate or one can live their life with love.  The choice is available due to free will, given by God.  Let us examine the outcomes of each choice.

With bitterness, wrath, anger, malice, and evil speaking, how many people are going to want to be around you?  If you are always in a bad mood or angry, how likely are you to have friends?  No one wants to hang around someone who is always angry to them.  So many people are bitter and angry for all the wrong reasons.  They think that someone has wronged them.  They think that they are owed something.  Truth is, we are owed nothing.  God owes us nothing.  We are deserving of death due to our sin.  God chose, not of ourselves, to save us from sin and destruction.  God chose to give us a gift that we can’t repay.  God chose to be kind to a people who are less than kind.

With kindness, forgiveness, and tenderheartedness, people will want to know why.  Why are you so kind?  Why are you so forgiving?  Why are you so happy all the time?  Our happiness comes from God.  God loves us so much.  God is so kind to us, a people who are not deserving.  People are sinful, unclean, mean, nasty, and cruel.  God still sent His son down to Earth to live, die, and come back to life to save us from all the wrong that we have done.

So, the choice is still there: live for God or apart from God.  For God, your life transitions from this life to eternal life with Him.  Against God, your life transitions to a life with Satan and eternal separation from God.  The choice is there.  I leave you with the choice that you need to decide.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the choice to serve You.  Thank You that You don’t force us to serve You.  This makes choosing You so much sweeter. I pray that many come to know You as their Lord and personal Savior.  I pray over all the world that does not know You like I do.  I pray that You give them the strength to lay down their lives and fully serve You.  This world is only temporary and the plans need to be made for the next life.  I pray that all may choose You and Heaven.  I know that not all will, but I pray that all that can, will.  We owe You our lives for all that You have done.

In your precious name we pray,

Amen
