Mark 3:24-27, “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.  And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.  And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.  No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.”

In this account in the Bible, Jesus was being accused of being a demon.  Specifically, the demon Beelzebub.  By being a demon, the scribes thought Jesus was able to remove other demons from people who were possessed.  His authority would make lesser demon run away.

This could not be any further from the truth and Jesus proves that this is not true.  If evil were to fight evil, it would be counter-intuitive, just as good fighting with good is.  The battle of good versus evil is very well documented throughout the Bible and other literature.  When criminals get caught, they typically turn on each other and when they do, the entire group goes down.

The purpose of Christ was to destroy sin and death and Satan.  Jesus would, in no way, work with Satan.  Jesus is absolute love and Satan is absolute hate.  They could not be more opposite.  This is also why angels and demons will fight each other in the end times.  There is also a battle of good versus evil that exists in everyone with every decision that is made.

Jesus came to minister to people and in ministering, Jesus removed evil spirits from people who were afflicted.  Jesus was all man and is all God.  God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the Holy Trinity.  They do not contridict each other.  This allows them to stand and not fall apart.

We serve a God that is not divided.  A God that is not wavering.  A God that is up front and truthful.  Kneel down and accept Jesus as you Lord and Savior today.  He is waiting for you.  Don’t make Him wait.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for not wavering.  You are a God that is holy and righteous and true.  You truly have our best interests in mind.  All our needs You provide.  You provide a clear path to Yourself and show a clear way to be with You in Heaven forever.  You are our strength in our times of need.  Thank You, thank You, thank you.

In your undivided name we pray,

Amen
